Workshop Wrap up: A Day of Flowers, Fun, and Photography Play

Petals in the Perfect Light – A Day of Flowers, Fun, and Photography Play

There’s something magical about spending a day surrounded by flowers, friends, and cameras — and our recent Petals in the Perfect Light workshop was nothing short of blooming perfection.

From the moment we walked into Sparkle on Park, the room was bursting with color and creativity. Ari, the floral mastermind behind Sparkle, absolutely outdid herself, crafting the most stunning arrangements for us to photograph. From deep ruby dahlias to soft peach roses and sunny yellow sunflowers, every stem had its moment in the spotlight. 🌻

Huge thanks to Ari @sparkleonpark for bringing so much artistry and beauty to the day.
Without her talent, our images wouldn’t have been nearly as spectacular!

The Day in Bloom

We kicked off the morning with professional lighting techniques, exploring how to use soft, diffused light to bring out the natural elegance of each flower. As the day went on, we leveled up to natural light setups, showing how a single bouquet could be transformed into countless moods and styles with a few tweaks.

There were plenty of “aha!” moments as participants discovered new ways to frame and style their shots. Some of the best moments were behind-the-scenes — like when everyone gathered around a camera to see a perfectly lit image pop up on screen and gasped like they’d just seen magic.

By the afternoon, we were in full creative flow, experimenting with backgrounds, props, and color palettes. The final images were stunning works of art — a mix of classic still life beauty and bold, modern arrangements.
