If you have not heard the news please let me be the first to share this with you. There is going to be an amazing show of Rock and Roll photography images at the Worcester Art Museum! Yes- it’s called “Who Shot Rock and Roll” and includes over 100 photographers images of photographs of live performances, candid shots, portraits of musicians, and cover art. I work at the art museum teaching photo classes and so I heard about this show month and months ago. So I am very excited that it is opening in just a few weeks.

The Worcester Photo Meetup Group my wife and I run will be setting up a private tour of this show with one of the best and funniest docents the museum has. There will be parties and “bashes”  and VIP Exclusive events. The Worcester Art Museum is going “all out” over this one. SO much so they are even running a local music based photo contest to see if they can get the talented local photographers to come out of hiding and show off some of the best bands, best venues to listen to music and the talented folks who play in them! It’s got me working through my photos of bands and musicians to see what I can submit to the contest. They are offering cash prizes and your chance to have your work hang in the Museum for a show.

I am looking over images – playing around to see what I should submit to the photo contest. I’m not going to miss this opportunity! And if you have photos of bands, musicians, or folks playing in venues in Worcester–  you shouldn’t miss this either…

Here are a few shots I am thinkng of submitting… what do you all think? In or Out?
